Alan Berliner wrote an essay for the commemorative book, "ReNew Media Celebrates 20 Years of the Media Arts Fellowships 1988-2007," which is supported by The Rockefeller Foundation.
Berliner was recently featured in the USA TODAY HealthSmart Weekend Magazine (June 18-21), in an article titled, "Inspired at Night."

On Wednesday, August 8th, Berliner will present his film, NOBODY'S BUSINESS at the 4th Annual Summer Film Series, hosted by the Martha's Vineyard International Film Festival. Following the Q and A, he will give a talk about the evolution of his career as a filmmaker, using clips from many of his films.
Alan Berliner will be a guest of the 9th International Documentary Encounters, held in Bogota. Colombia from September 17th to the 23rd. He will be presenting a retrospective of his films, along with participating in forum discussions and filmmaking workshops. He will also be visiting Medellin during his visit to Columbia.
Alan Berliner will screen several of his films at the upcoming Virginia Film Festival in Charlottesville, this coming November. His work is being featured as part of this year's festival theme, KIN FLICKS, which focuses on films that explore different representations of the family.
